Terms of Service
Updated October 2026
These terms govern your use of Chirlo’s website, creator accounts and public creator pages. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Chirlo. Nothing in these terms removes rights that applicable law gives you.
Your agreement with Chirlo
Chirlo provides tools to publish creator pages, organize links, direct visitors to destinations, collect form submissions and understand page activity. In these terms, “Chirlo”, “we” and “us” refer to the business providing the service; “you” refers to the person or organization using it.
You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Chirlo only where the law permits and with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts responsibility for your use. If you use Chirlo for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it.
Additional terms shown when you purchase a plan or use a particular feature apply to that purchase or feature. Mandatory legal rights take priority over conflicting terms. Checkout terms govern the payment transaction; these terms govern your use of Chirlo.
Accounts and account security
Provide accurate account information and keep your email address current. You are responsible for protecting access to your email, sign-in codes and any password, and for activity you authorize through your account. Do not share access in a way that allows unauthorized use or pretend to be another person or business.
If you suspect unauthorized access, secure your email and account and use the account-security controls available to you. You are not responsible for unauthorized activity to the extent the law places responsibility elsewhere or the activity results from a failure for which Chirlo is legally responsible.
Your username
Your username is the address of your page on Chirlo. It is not ownership of a trademark or a permanent entitlement to that address. Choose one that represents you or your work and respects other people’s rights.
A username must not use the name of another person, brand or organization without their permission, infringe a trademark or other right, be offensive or misleading, or be registered only to hold it, sell it or keep it from someone else.
If there is a problem with a username, we look at it fairly and may ask you to change it. If you do not, we may change or release the username or restrict the page. We explain the reason and give you the opportunity to respond where reasonably possible and legally permitted. To report a username that uses your name or brand, use the Contact us page.
Your content and ownership
You retain ownership of your content and the rights you already have in it. You are responsible for your page, links, images, descriptions, forms, media and other material you publish, including the destinations you direct visitors to.
You give Chirlo a non-exclusive, worldwide permission to store, reproduce, display, format and deliver your content only as needed to operate, secure and provide the service you request. This permission does not transfer ownership or allow Chirlo to sell your content. It ends when the relevant content is removed, except for copies retained as described in the Privacy policy or required by law.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to publish your content and allow Chirlo to provide it. Public pages can be viewed, linked to and indexed by other services. Keep your own copies of important content and audience information.
Chirlo’s name, branding, software and original designs belong to Chirlo or its licensors. You may use the service as offered, but may not copy or exploit those materials separately without permission or a legal right to do so.
Acceptable use
Use Chirlo lawfully and respect other people’s rights. You must not use it to:
- Publish illegal content, facilitate illegal transactions, exploit children, threaten violence, harass people or distribute someone’s private information without a lawful reason.
- Impersonate another person or organization, deceive visitors, commit fraud, steal credentials, distribute harmful software or direct people to unsafe destinations.
- Infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy or other rights, or publish material you do not have permission to use.
- Send spam, collect personal information unlawfully, use forms for unauthorized marketing or manipulate activity reports to mislead people.
- Attempt unauthorized access, bypass access controls or plan limits, disrupt the service or place an unreasonable burden on it.
- Resell account access or represent yourself as officially endorsed by Chirlo without permission.
Creator pages, forms and visitors
As a creator, you are responsible for explaining your offers, identifying yourself where the law requires, and giving visitors accurate information about your links and forms. Obtain any permissions required to collect submissions or send marketing messages, provide appropriate privacy information and honor applicable access, deletion and unsubscribe requests.
Information submitted to a creator’s form is made available to that creator. You must use it only for lawful purposes consistent with what you told the visitor. Cookie consent does not provide permission to send someone marketing messages.
Visitors should evaluate a creator’s content and offers before relying on them. Chirlo’s page-hosting service does not make Chirlo the seller of a creator’s products or the provider of their advice, bookings, newsletters or other services. Contracts and disputes about those offerings are between the visitor and the relevant creator or third-party provider.
Free and paid plans
Available features, usage limits and prices are described on the Pricing page and when you choose a plan. Free accounts remain subject to their plan limits and these terms. A free plan does not promise that every feature will always be available without charge.
Reaching a limit may prevent adding more content, rules or submissions until you make room or change plans. A plan’s reporting period determines the history you can view; it is not a promise that older information has been deleted.
Paid plans: what you need to know
These are the points that matter most before you pay. The sections that follow explain each one in full.
- Your subscription renews automatically. A paid plan is a subscription that renews for another month or year, the same length as the one before, every time it reaches its renewal date, until you cancel it.
- You authorize the renewal charges. By paying for a plan you authorize the payment method you gave at checkout to be charged the plan’s price, plus any applicable tax, at each renewal, without being asked again.
- To avoid the next charge, cancel before the renewal date. That date is shown on the Billing page, where you can cancel in a couple of clicks.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not end your plan early and does not refund the period you have already paid for; the plan stays active until that period ends.
- Your first payment is covered by a 14 day money back guarantee. Later payments, including renewals, are not refunded unless the law requires it. See the Refund policy below.
- An upgrade is charged straight away. The amount is shown to you before you confirm it.
- Your paid plan starts as soon as your payment is confirmed, and you can use its features immediately.
- Paddle is the seller. Paddle, our payment partner, takes the payment and appears on your receipt and card statement.
- Rights the law gives you where you live, including consumer cancellation and refund rights, always take priority over these terms.
Subscriptions, billing and automatic renewal
Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly according to your selection. A yearly plan is charged for the year, even if its price is also described as a monthly equivalent. The amount, currency, billing interval and applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you authorize payment.
Your agreement for a paid plan is made when your payment is confirmed, and the plan starts at once. Unless you cancel before the renewal date, your subscription renews automatically for a further period of the same length, and you authorize your payment method to be charged the plan’s price and any applicable tax at each renewal.
Keep your payment details current. If a renewal payment fails, it may be tried again; if it still cannot be collected, paid features may be restricted or your account returned to the free plan.
Payments are handled by Paddle, our payment partner. Paddle is the merchant of record: it is the seller named at checkout and on your receipt, it collects the payment and any tax, and its buyer terms apply to the payment itself. Chirlo does not see or store your card details.
Chirlo may change the price of a plan and what each plan includes, such as its features and limits. If a change raises the price you pay or materially reduces what your paid plan includes, we tell you in advance, with reasonable notice, by email to the address on your account. A new price applies from your next renewal after that notice, unless you cancel before the renewal date; it never increases the price of a period you have already paid for.
Managing your plan
You manage your plan from the Billing page in your account. A paid plan starts when your first payment succeeds and continues, renewing each month or year, until you cancel it or it ends under these terms.
Upgrading: you can move to a larger plan at any time. The new features are available straight away. You pay the difference in price for the time left in your current billing period, and that amount is shown to you before you confirm and is then charged to your saved payment method. Your renewal date and your monthly or yearly billing stay the same, and from the next renewal you pay the new plan’s price.
Moving to a smaller plan: a plan is not reduced part-way through a period you have paid for. Cancel your subscription, keep your current plan until the period ends, then choose the plan you want.
Cancelling: choose Cancel subscription on the Billing page. This stops future renewals. Your paid plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for, and your account then moves to the free plan. You can resume the subscription from Billing at any time before that period ends. Stopping use of Chirlo, removing a page or clearing your browser does not cancel a subscription.
Moving to the free plan does not delete your pages or content, but the free plan’s features and limits apply again, as described under Free and paid plans.
Deleting your account: ask through the Contact us page. We first stop any subscription so it cannot renew, then delete the account. Deletion cannot be undone and does not by itself refund a payment.
Refund policy
14 day money back guarantee: if a paid plan is not for you, ask within 14 days of your first payment and we refund that payment in full. You do not need to give a reason.
To ask for a refund, use Request a refund on the Billing page or the Contact us page, from the email address on your account. Refunds are returned by Paddle to the payment method you paid with, and the time they take to appear depends on your bank or card provider. A full refund ends the subscription and its paid features.
Other payments, including renewals and the charge for an upgrade, are not refunded once the period they pay for has started, unless the law requires it or we agree otherwise. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period.
If you purchase as a consumer in the European Union or another place with a statutory withdrawal period, that right applies according to local law. For EU service contracts, the usual period is 14 days after the contract is concluded. Starting to use Chirlo does not, by itself, waive that right. Any legally required request to start a service early or acknowledgment about a loss of withdrawal rights must be obtained separately.
These terms do not exclude legal remedies for a service that does not meet applicable requirements. Mandatory consumer cancellation, refund and conformity rights take priority over any conflicting provision.
External websites and media
Creator pages can link to or display content from other services. Those services have their own terms, availability and privacy practices. A link or media player is not an endorsement or guarantee from Chirlo.
Chirlo does not control third-party purchases, messages, media availability or changes to external links. You are responsible for reviewing the terms of a third-party service you choose to use. This does not limit responsibility that applicable law places on Chirlo for its own actions.
Privacy and cookie choices
The Privacy policy explains how Chirlo handles account information, creator submissions and page activity. The Cookie notice explains cookies, saved preferences and available choices. Agreeing to these terms does not accept optional analytics cookies or consent to a creator’s marketing.
You can review optional cookie choices through Cookie preferences in a creator-page footer. Pages, forms and links remain usable when optional cookies are rejected. Chirlo still records the page activity described in the Privacy policy and Cookie notice.
Availability and changes to the service
Chirlo aims to provide a useful and reliable service, but maintenance, technical problems, security incidents and circumstances outside our reasonable control can interrupt it. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, exact analytics results or a particular level of traffic, income, sales or audience growth.
We may improve, replace or discontinue features. Where a change materially affects a paid service, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable and the information, choices or remedies required by law. We do not use this clause to remove mandatory rights relating to a service you have purchased.
Content restrictions and suspension
Chirlo may restrict a page, remove content or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach of these terms, unlawful activity, a security risk, harm to others or a binding legal requirement. Measures should be proportionate to the issue. Immediate action may be necessary where delay would create harm or violate the law.
Where reasonably possible and legally permitted, Chirlo will explain the restriction and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue or contest a mistake. A restriction does not automatically mean that you lose any refund or other remedy required by law.
You can stop using Chirlo and remove content using the controls available in your account. Cancel any paid subscription separately if you do not want it to renew. Information retained after content removal is handled as described in the Privacy policy.
Responsibility and limits of liability
You are responsible for your own unlawful use, content and dealings with visitors. Chirlo remains responsible for its own obligations and for losses for which applicable law makes it responsible.
To the extent permitted by law, Chirlo is not responsible for losses arising solely from third-party services, circumstances outside its reasonable control, or your failure to protect access to your account. For business users, Chirlo excludes liability for indirect or consequential business losses, including lost profits, anticipated revenue or business opportunities, to the extent the law permits.
Nothing excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Consumer guarantees, required service standards and mandatory remedies remain available. These limitations apply only to the extent valid under the law that governs your claim.
Applicable law and disputes
The law and courts applicable to a dispute are determined by the relevant legal rules. These terms do not require mandatory arbitration, waive a right to bring a claim or take away protections that apply to consumers in their place of residence.
For a payment dispute, use the billing and contact information provided with your purchase. For a dispute about a creator’s own product, content or communications, contact that creator or the relevant external service. This does not prevent you from pursuing a legal remedy or contacting a competent authority.
Support and contact
For questions about these terms, your account or a billing request, use the Contact us page, linked from the footer of every page. Include the email address on your account and identify the purchase or page concerned, so the request can be found.
Requests about a creator’s own page, product or communications should go to that creator. Chirlo can still act where a page breaks these terms.
Changes to these terms
The update date above identifies the current version. Chirlo may revise these terms to reflect changes to the service, business arrangements or law. Material changes affecting existing users will be communicated with reasonable notice where required, and the date or circumstances in which they take effect will be explained.
Where your agreement is required for a change, Chirlo will obtain it separately. Changes do not retroactively remove rights or remedies relating to an earlier purchase. If you do not agree with a change, you may stop using the service and cancel future subscription renewals, subject to your existing rights.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent legally possible. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later. Mandatory law always takes priority.
